Payroll that knows each country's rules.

OctaHr calculates earnings, deductions and statutory contributions per country, locks the run once Finance approves it, and pays out to bank or mobile money in local currency.

Statutory, per country.

Each country's rates are kept with an effective date. A run uses the rates in force for its pay period, and past runs keep the rates they were calculated with.

How a pay run works

  1. 1Attendance closesHours, overtime and approved leave are pulled in.
  2. 2Payroll calculatesEarnings, allowances, deductions and statutory, per country.
  3. 3HR reviewsNew hires, exits and salary changes are flagged.
  4. 4Finance approvesThe run locks.
  5. 5Payouts go outBank and mobile money, in local currency.
  6. 6Payslips and returnsPayslips go to self-service. Statutory reports are ready to file.

Approved means locked.

A salary edit after approval can't slip into the bank file.
  • Payroll locks when Finance approves it.
  • Corrections go through a logged adjustment or an authorized reversal.
  • Bank and mobile money files are built from the approved run only.
  • Every change is in the audit log.

Paid to bank or mobile money.

One approved run produces every payout, in each employee's local currency.
  • Bank files for the whole run
  • Mobile money disbursement where the rail is live
  • Each employee chooses their payout method on self-service; HR approves the change
  • Final dues for leavers, calculated with the same rules
